After about 4 months of starting my own company, I left my job at the import firm. 
I started devoting all my time to my own company by putting up more products to my 
Alibaba.com website.

The next serious buyer I got was from the UK. He was reluctant to send me an advance payment because I was not a TrustPass member so I referred him to my first buyer from Germany. Within the next week, the buyer from the UK agreed to send me an advance payment. I guess the German buyer must have said something right!

This kept happening for quite some time. Whenever I got a serious buyer unsure of my reliability, I simply referred them to my previous buyer. Luckily they all gave positive feedback to my future clients. By doing this, I was able to build up a reference list of buyers from Europe, the US, Canada as well as the Middle East within a short period of time.

After about 4 months of starting my own company, I left my job at the import firm. I started devoting all my time to my own company by putting up more products to my Alibaba.com website, participating in the forums, and providing full-time customer services to my clients. That first year, I made US$160,000 through Alibaba.com, and have never looked back since.
